A Message From Jami

As a lifelong resident of Corona, my connection to our community runs deep. From my early days at Vincentia Elementary to Raney Intermediate School, and finally graduating from Corona High School, education has always been a fundamental part of my life. Raised in a family that prioritized giving back, I learned valuable lessons from my grandmother, Guarito (Greet) Shepherd, who taught Spanish and ESL in the CNUSD Adult Education program, and my Aunt, Dr. Dina Stallings, who founded the RCCD Friends of Forensics, dedicated to enhancing students' public speaking skills.

I take pride in my ongoing involvement with this organization.  My family's legacy is closely linked with Stallings Elementary School, named after my uncle, Dr. John W. Stallings, who served as superintendent in the 1960s. Their to education continues to inspire me to serve our community. Supported by my husband Ryan and our two sons, Daniel and Connor, I've actively participated in various non-profit boards and the PTA.

As Chair of the Corona Public Library, I strive to promote literacy and community engagement. Additionally, I've served as Chair of the Measure GG Bond Oversight Committee, ensuring responsible spending of the $360 million bond in accordance with its language. My dedication extends to serving on several committees within CNUSD, working to shape educational policies. With children on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), I also serve on the CNUSD CAC committee, advocating for families and collaborating with the Special Education department to ensure all students receive appropriate support and services. Now, I am excited to elevate my advocacy by running for the CNUSD School Board. My aim is to be a voice for every family, ensuring educational excellence throughout our community.
